Take Off

To showcase the portfolios and collected works from the 2015 third year design students, we were asked to develop a theme for the art gallery in groups. We wanted to incorporate the imaginative nature of all students in our theme ‘Take Off’ which was represented by the traditional paper plane. We chose the paper plane to represent “Take Off” because of its history and how numerous famous designers used it to create bigger and better inventions from Da Vinci and his ornithopter to the Wright brothers creating the first practical fixed wing aircraft. We want to show that us as students were just as creative and are able to fly in our chosen careers as the some of the finest in the field.
